Hi, my name is Daniel, and I am an enormous plant enthusiast and the owner of this website and the company UpVision GmbH. Our main product is an app for plant identification & care.
I started caring for plants more than 30 years ago when I received my first cactus plant. Unfortunately, the happiness about the gift was short-lived as I took excellent care of it.
I watered it way too much, resulting in the cactus dying before my eyes. At this moment, I swore that I wanted to become a better plant parent and have therefore started to study plant care and gardening.
My mission is to provide you with the best available first-hand plant information about indoor and outdoor plants on the web.
I am currently growing hundreds of plants indoors. I have built a plant grow wall myself. I have a grow tent and multiple ebb&flow systems in my house.
My favorite plants are tropical aroids such as Monstera, Philodendron, and Anthurium. My latest passion is growing hot chilis, such as Thai Chili and Carolina Reaper.
