Philodendron

Philodendron is a large genus of foliage plants consisting of 489 species. It belongs to the Araceae family (aroid family). Only the Anthurium genus is larger.

Anthuriums are either climbers or crawlers. Some well-known climbers are the Hearleaf Philodendron, Philodendron erubescens, and Philodendron Brazil.

Crawling Philodendrons such as Philodendron gloriosum, Philodendron pastazanum, and Philodendron mamei have rhizomes that crawl along the forest floor.
